Roads Committee Report

Projects and Expenditures May, 2008 - May, 2009

 

Road Projects:

1. Pelican Road - EFBOA paid to have  a 416 ft swale constructed to direct water into the gut.  Several property owners paid to have 1 lane paved in this area and the swale was important for proper drainage

Cost to EFBOA - $5400 

Property owners paid $28,350.

2. Caribe Road - Paved approx 122 ft/ 2 lanes of road where Caribe connects to Marina Drive.

Cost to EFBOA - $26,550.

3. Caribe Road - Paved 116 ft/1 lane on very steep section to stop further erosion. 

Cost to EFBOA - $4050

Property owner paid - $4050

4. Fish Bay Lane East - Graded a section that was in poor condition.

Cost to EFBOA - $1400

5. Fish Bay Lane - Paved 159 ft where FBL connects to Marina Drive.  Paving was done in conjunction with plans of an adjacent property owner to pave a parking area. 

*Cost to EFBOA - $11,615.

6. Reef Bay Road - Graded a section that was in poor condition and to direct water to culverts.  Hammered out rocks in one area to allow for water to flow to culvert rather than washing over the road. 

*Cost to EFBOA - $3000

7. Reef Bay Road - Placed boulders at the base of a culvert to stop erosion. 

Cost - $1800 billed to property owner

 

Emergency Road Work:

1. Hilltop Lane - Boulders fell into road during heavy rains in Fall, 2008

Cost - $400 billed to property owner

2.  Fish Bay Lane East - Mud slide needed to be cleared from roadway and culverts cleared.

Cost to EFBOA - $2000.

 

Roadside Maintenance:

1. Contract will Dominick Fessale to trim all roads 4 x a year.

Cost to EFBOA $14,400

 

Road Liability Insurance

1. Annual premium - $1260

 

TOTAL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS & ROAD RELATED EXPENSES PAID FOR BY EFBOA:  $69,675

TOTAL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PAID FOR BY PROPERTY OWNERS: $32,400

TOTAL CHARGES PENDING PAYMENT FROM PROPERTY OWNERS: $2,200

 

 

* A portion of these expenses will be paid after 5/9/09.
